The first few times the adapter is used the bolt should be tightened snug and then lift the vehicle to be towed then lower it down to the unloaded level and repeat this until all the slack is gone. 

This is CRUCIAL & Important

When using the tool after this procedure. Lifting & Tightening must be followed and checked thoroughly so that there is no slack & play during the work process.
